Abound Credit Union Purple Heart Scholarship

1. Recipients will be selected based on unmet financial need as determined by the FAFSA and must meet minimum academic standards of the college.
2. Applicants may be current or prospective degree-seeking students at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC). There is no specific requirement for major or field of study.
3. All other qualifications being equal, preference will be given to a Purple Heart recipient, the spouse of a Purple Heart recipient, the direct descendant of a Purple Heart recipient (child, step-child, adopted child, grandchild or step-grandchild, or child with the servicemember as legal guardian, or the spouse, widow/widower, or direct descendent as defined above of a service member killed in action or who died of wounds.
4. The award is not automatically renewable but previous recipients are eligible to re-apply provided they maintain good academic standing. Award payments will be split between fall and spring semesters, and recipients must continue to maintain good academic standing to receive the full scholarship.
