ARH Virginia G. Hayes Nursing Scholarship Endowment

The recipient(s) of the scholarship(s) shall be selected by a Scholarship Committee appointed by the President of SKCTC in consultation with the CEO of Whitesburg ARH and/or Virginia G. Haynes.

One $1000 scholarship (given at the rate of $500 per semester/term) shall be awarded each year for as long as funds are available to a student who is:

• A resident of Letcher County,
• Demonstrates financial need,
• Accepted into SKCTC’s nursing program,
• Enrolls full-time

Each scholarship awarded may be used for educational expenses (e.g. tuition, books, transportation to clinical sites, licensure examinations, etc.
